• 1 × Spare whip head — which one depends on the weight you choose:
  • 2.20 lb (1.0 kg / 2 jin) and under — an ultra-soft braided polyethylene-fibre head, the soft-woven type favoured by senior Chinese practitioners.

  • Above 2.20 lb (1.0 kg / 2 jin) — a spare head of the same type already fitted to your whip.

Cobalt-chromium is used where failure is not an option: hip and knee implants, dental frameworks, jet turbine blades. It holds its shape under heat and stress, and it does not corrode.

The onyx-violet colour is the alloy's own, brought out by heat treatment — no coating, no paint, ever. It cannot chip off, because there is nothing on top to chip.

In China the Kirin Whip is first and foremost a fitness practice. The swing is driven from the waist and hips, so a session works the core, shoulders and grip together — and the rhythm of it is what keeps people coming back.

It is practised by children and by people in their seventies and eighties, in parks and public squares, with regular national gatherings and competitions held across the country. Performance and martial-arts routines grow out of that same base.
