Each link is hand-welded from 304 stainless steel — the same food- and medical-grade alloy used in surgical instruments and kitchenware. Corrosion-resistant, rust-proof, and shaped into the profile that gives this whip its name: the dragon's backbone.
From handle to tip the chain steps down through ten precisely graded stages. Each stage is finer than the last — heavier links near the handle for control, finer links at the tip to accelerate the crack. The result is one continuous, organic flow of energy, more like something alive than a length of metal.

304 is the most widely used grade of stainless steel — the same food- and medical-grade alloy found in surgical instruments, cookware and kitchen sinks. It is chosen for being corrosion-resistant, rust-proof and hypoallergenic.
For a whip that means a chain which stays bright and clean through years of handling and sweat. It won't tarnish, and it's gentle on the skin.
