Yuanyang. Two Patterns on Every Link.
A 304 stainless steel Kirin Whip with long cylindrical links, each one carrying a pair of designs — named for the Chinese symbol of a perfect pair.
Look closely at any link on this chain and you'll find two different patterns sharing the same piece of steel. Link after link, the pair repeats all the way down the whip — that's where its name comes from. The links are smooth cylinders and longer than those on our standard Kirin Whips, so the chain swings with A BIG, ROLLING RHYTHM & A POWERFUL CRACK
The chain is 304 stainless steel — rust-proof, corrosion-resistant and hypoallergenic — set in a fixed black rosewood handle and finished with a firm-braided Whip Fall tuned to those long links.
The name
鸳 鸯
Yuānyāng — the mandarin duck. In China they are never painted alone: a yuanyang is always one of a pair, and the word has come to mean two things that belong together.
Chinese martial arts borrowed the word for paired weapons and paired techniques. On this whip, every link is its own pair — two patterns, one link, all the way from grip to tip.

Good to know
- This is not a beginner's whip. At 2.2–2.5 lb with long links, it rewards solid basics. If you've never cracked a chain whip, start lighter.
- The Whip Fall is matched to this chain. Because the link ratio differs from our standard whips, our regular falls aren't a like-for-like swap. Message us before replacing it.
- Hand-assembled, so expect small variations — up to about ±0.8 in (±2 cm) in length. It makes no difference to performance.

Shipping & Delivery
Orders leave us within 2–5 days. They travel about 2 days to our international freight partner in Guangdong, then 8–15 days overseas.
From order to doorstep, most customers receive their whip in about 2–3 weeks. You'll get a tracking number once it's on its way.
6-Month Warranty & Repairs
Every whip is covered for 6 months from delivery. If something goes wrong with it in that time, we'll repair it.
Shipping both ways (to us and back to you) is paid by the customer. Poppers and Whip Falls wear with use, so normal wear on these parts isn't covered — that's what the spare Tail Ribbon is for.
About 304 Stainless Steel
304 is the most widely used grade of stainless steel — the same food- and medical-grade alloy found in surgical instruments and cookware. It is rust-proof, corrosion-resistant and hypoallergenic.
For a whip, that means a chain that stays bright and clean through years of handling and sweat.
