The Long-Pole Manganese Kirin — Extended Reach. Travel-Ready Power.
This is the Long-Pole Manganese Kirin Whip — our masterpiece of reach,
power, and portability. The 4-foot stainless steel pole more than doubles the working
range of a traditional chain whip, transforming the weapon into something larger, slower,
and more dramatic in motion. The chain that follows is the same hand-forged manganese
steel we use in our heaviest classical whips — industrial-grade alloy, dark patina, built
to last decades.
But the real engineering breakthrough is what most buyers don't expect: the pole
breaks down into three separate sections. Each section is roughly the
length of a forearm, easily fitting into a backpack, suitcase, or carry bag. A practitioner
who once needed a pickup truck to transport a long-pole whip can now take this one on the
subway, on a plane, into the mountains, or to a friend's backyard.
Power that travels with you — the Long-Pole Manganese Kirin is designed for
the modern practitioner who refuses to choose between training intensity and life mobility.

THE CHAIN · MANGANESE STEEL · HEAT-TREATED
Industrial Steel. Whip-Forged Form.
The chain on the Long-Pole Manganese Kirin is forged from G80-grade industrial alloy —
the same manganese steel certified for crane lifting, mining, and shipyard use. Each link
is hand-forged in our Dengfeng workshop, then quenched and tempered through multi-stage heat
treatment. The surface hardens to industrial standards while the core retains the toughness
to absorb explosive shock loads.
The chain's signature blue-black patina is no coating, no paint — it is the
natural color of the steel after heat treatment, sealed by careful oxide finishing. From handle
to tip, the chain tapers through 9 precisely-engineered stages, heaviest at
the pole end, finest at the whip head for maximum crack velocity.
◆ THE CHAIN
Hand-forged manganese steel with the orange Dyneema cracker — heat-treated patina catches light without ever needing polish.
◆ THE LINK
Each link bears the G80 industrial certification stamp — the same grade used in crane chain and lifting hardware.

POLE END (heaviest)TIP END (finest)
Nine progressive stages — heavy stock at the pole connection for grip stability, finest at the tip for explosive crack velocity

Living Steel · Care & Maintenance
A few honest words about manganese steel
Manganese steel is industrial alloy, not stainless. It is the same material
used to build cranes and lifting chains — chosen for hardness, impact resistance, and
explosive crack power. It is not, however, rust-proof. Treated with care,
it will last decades and develop a beautiful deepening patina. Neglected, it will rust like
any carbon steel.
◆ STRENGTHS
Extreme hardness — drop-resistant, impact-resistant, decades of heavy training without fatigue cracks.
Maximum crack volume — heavier chain density delivers the deepest, most concussive sonic crack of any whip we make.
◇ TRADE-OFFS
Sensitive to moisture — sweat, rain, and humid storage will cause surface rust.
Requires care — like a katana, this whip rewards the practitioner who treats it with respect, and punishes neglect.
◆ SIMPLE CARE ROUTINE
After every use: wipe down with a dry cloth to remove sweat and moisture. Storage: keep in a dry place, away from windows or damp basements. Monthly: apply a light coat of gun oil or 3-in-1 oil to maintain the protective surface layer. If surface rust appears: a quick wipe with steel wool and re-oiling will restore the finish — minor surface rust is cosmetic, not structural.
WEIGHT GUIDE
Three Tiers of Power.
ENTRY POWER
5.5 – 8.3 lb
2.5 – 3.75 kg
Your gateway into the long-pole family. Manageable weight with the full 4-ft reach,
ideal for practitioners with existing chain-whip fundamentals who want
to expand their range. Builds shoulder and core endurance fast.
PERFORMANCE POWER
9.4 – 12.7 lb
4.25 – 5.75 kg
The performance sweet spot for serious long-pole practitioners. These weights are what
we recommend for routine training, demonstrations, and conditioning work.
Demands consistent practice. Produces ground-shaking thunder.
MASTER POWER
14.9 – 17.1 lb
6.75 – 7.75 kg
For master-level practitioners and strength athletes. These weights demand full-body
conditioning and years of long-pole foundation. The 17 lb model produces the
deepest, most powerful crack in the long-pole range.
⚔ A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER
"The long-pole whip is the most physically demanding weapon I train with. The 4-foot pole
means every movement begins from your feet, travels through your hips and shoulders, and
explodes out through the chain. When the technique is right, the entire body becomes the
whip. When it is wrong, your shoulders will tell you within ten minutes."
"I designed the sectional pole because I myself was tired of borrowing pickup trucks every
time I wanted to train somewhere new. Two pieces, threaded brass connector, locks together
as solid as a one-piece pole. Every Long-Pole Manganese Kirin is hand-forged and hand-tested
before it leaves Dengfeng. Treat it well, and it will train with you for life."
